I saw a thread on this topic from 2014 but the chandlers mentioned do not seem to carry the oven door latches anymore. Anyone know where I can source these catches now? USA or UK are my preferred shipping destinations.

Looking at the price there, I gave the broken bits to the local stainless wizard and he promised he can make me one for less than the price listed in that thread. Given his previous work, I believe him. And it'll be stainless, so it won't rust like the chromed original.

I'll use some Sugru (must look up temperature rating) or Silweld tape (up to 260°C) for the black plastic bit, or perhaps reuse the original one. He's not made it yet, as he's ridiculously busy making a stainless spiral staircase and other toys for some big powerboat.

Thanks for the replies. I think getting one made from stainless is the way to go. I'll get my local stainless guy to make one too.
