So the mast on the Vision series has spin halyard sheave integrated with forestay attachment point which is too close for the zero.  So I plan on installing a separate box for the code 0

Can anyone advise on calculating the load for the code halyard that I can size the proper sheave?

E mail to Selden  to ask position and hardware required.
They send data and indication for 2:1 hayliard.

Did you know that Seldon supplied Bavaria with the masts and the fittings and Bavaria made them.
That is why the Vision range has the cheap and nasty combi set up for the forestay and spi halliard - cost cutting.
The spinnaker halliard can be about a metre higher than the forestay but beware when using a code 0 as the forces on the top of the mast might not be supported
Talk to Martin Leaning at Port Solent (Selden agent)

Late reply but from Selden, a code sail sheeve can be .8 meters above combibox.

Agreed, the combi box is a cheap set up.  Never liked sliding the halyard over the forestay when hoisting.

Selden advised on Sheeve.  Also installed a 2:1

test run this week.  I was running the code off the anchor stem but gusts would bend it slightly upward.  I concluded that not a good thing.
