Stanchion play

[UAT Norway]

I experience some play between stanchion base and toe rail on my 2011 cruiser. Resulting cracks in the gelcoat.
More or less a problem on all of them. Is it possible to fix the problem with som type of shim between the foot of the base and the toe rail?
