Hi guys,
Is there anywhere any info about the sail sizes and measurements for a Bavaria 32 cruiser from 2004?

Was trying to find a gennaker or a code 0 on the second hand market, but can't find correct measurements.

There are no "correct" measurements for that type of sail. The key dimension to work from is I - that is the genoa sheave height (the spinnaker sheave is just above this) as this determines the maximum luff, but you need to make an allowance for the tack attachment). The dimensions for the 32 are here  l-36.com/boat_dimensions_boat.php?boat=BAVARIA%2032H&i=36.3&j=11.8&p=36.7&e=13.3&isp=36.3&jsp=11.8&py=%20&ey=

The  furling cruising chute I had made for my 33 had a total area of about 65 sq  m. That was on the small side so something about that size would seem about right

Looking at those measurements I would say that the sail I found with a luff of 11,6m would not fit? I should look for one just under 11 meters if I did the calculations correctly

Sounds a bit long, but you could check if you have a spinnaker halyard in already. Mark the tail where it exits the mast, bring the halyard down to the stem, mark at exit again and then measure between the 2 marks.

That would be a good idea, but I don't have the halyard in yet. I could go buy one so that I can measure it as you explained. Guess I have to buy it at some point anyway  :)
