We have a Bavaria 34,year 2000 with a penta md2030d engine. We are ready to do the change but the terminal marked on the Cyrix as 86 is not as chunky as on the diode. Is it ok to connect to this spade fitting?
Also Victron show a fuse needed on the positive side, will I have one already fitted?
Lastly,Victron specify a max. temp. of 40 degrees, should I move it out of the engine bay(gets hot) into the stern cabin behind.

Thank you in advance and well done for everyone who has kept this forum going over the years, please do say when you need donations.

The battery negative terminal (86) is only for powering the Cyrix-ct itself, it does not need to be chunky. Spade fitting as designed is fine.

Only you will know where your fuses are, so go and look if there is one :)

Our Cyrix-ct survived until fitting an extraction fan+duct in the engine compartment, but it's probably not ideal. 40°C is ambient temperature in some places, outside in the cockpit, so the engine compartment can get stupidly hot if motoring a few hours in such weather. Extraction fan was needed.
