I'm told, and read, that there are three different versions of the 2003 Bavaira 38: Holiday, Ocean, and I don't know the third.  Can someone please tell me the difference?  I have the Holiday and am making it into a cruise-capable boat and want to make sure I'm not starting with the wrong boat.

I've already put about 50K in improvements into it:
* Added RADAR, AIS, Auto-Helm, Solar, tri-color light at mast top
* Refreshed standing rigging
* replaced running rigging (blocks and lines)
* Added boom break (Dutchman), spreader lights,
* Replaced / new electrical panel with better switches, places for genset, AC, watermaker
* Added second bilge pump
* Replaced incandescent lights with LEDs,
* Re-plumbed the shower sump

The Oceans were all centre cockpits with a totally different layout and aimed at competing with certain Scandinavian centre cockpit boats. They were fitted out to a higher spec than the aft cockpit models (glass windscreen, stainless steel instead of aluminium rudder post of full length, bigger engine, large engine compartment with good access, etc.) and were not for the charter market (single toilet, two cabins on the 38/40).

The Holiday and Cruiser were aft cockpit boats, like almost all other Bavarias. I'm not sure what the detail differences between these two were, I thought the Cruiser came after the Holiday. I think there was also an owner and a charter (max cabins) version of them with slightly different cabin layouts.

If you like the boat, it's the right boat :)

So in fact there have been 4 types of Bavaria 38 in 2003; holiday/ cruiser, Ocean and Match. Holiday and Cruiser are much alike, with longitudinal galley, Yngmar already explained the Ocean and the Match has longer mast and deeper keel.
