It has always worked without any issues, but today the windlass didn't even make a sound when I tried to lower the anchor. The manual mentions there's a windlass relay, but I can't find it. Maybe it's disconnected for some reason. This is on a Bavaria 39 Cruiser, 2005. Any help?

The windlass relay sits behind the switchboard at the nav station. The main fuse sits behind the saloon settee backrest

I founded! Many thanks. Now probing continuity...

✅ 100 A breaker continuity verified (confirms the breaker is not faulty).
✅ Confirmed 12 V is present at the main input of the Lofrans relay box from the output of the 100 A breaker (motor power supply).
✅ Control negative (ground) continuity verified from the negative busbar to the center terminal of the Lofrans relay box, confirming the relay control circuit ground return is intact.
✅ Functional test: using a test lead fitted with a 1 A inline fuse, briefly connected the positive output of the 100 A breaker to either of the two positive control terminals (one on each side of the center negative terminal) on the Lofrans relay box. The windlass operated, confirming the motor and relay box are functional.
✅ Confirmed 12 V is present at the bow deck socket (next to the windlass) used for the wired remote control.
❌ With the remote disconnected, checked continuity between the three pins. After disassembling the connector, the root cause was identified: a wire had come unsoldered from the female connector of the QUICK remote control despite the remote having always been handled with care. (THIS COULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST THING TO CHECK!!)

A very similar troubleshooting procedure had already been published. Unfortunately, I missed it at first...
