Title: Lewmar stanchions and bases on 2008 Ba 37 cruiser
Post by: Craggles on June 10 2015, 06:54
I have owned Serenity for over three years and lived aboard over two. My crew keeps requesting a gate through the lifelines but as yet I haven't been able to source the same aluminium mounts that fit under the lip on the toe rail and have two bolts through the deck. Does anyone know where to source them?

Hi

You mean this one ?

Custom made for Bavaria Yachtbau by Pfeiffer Marine.
I tried to ask Pfeiffer but answer was. Only source is Bavaria Yachtbau...  :(

Your Bavaria dealer should be able to source these for you. If not, there are online sources if you Google.

Yes Baltic, thats the ones. The Ronstan tapered stanchions are priced at $152 au each!!! I will make my own for around $30 parallel for four and they shouldn't look out if place as they will be the four gate posts.
Tiger79, i have spent many hours searching on line but i will email Bavaria and see if i can get two bases without having to mortgage my boat ;)

Hi

"Same same but different."

Bavaria Stansion base is different.
Look like Pfeiffer standard  but measurements are different.
SVB is not solution.

You need 2 pcs.
Where are you located ?

They'll all buy them from Bavaria, but just a few online offerings include..
