Dumb question I know but how do you switch from aft water tank onto forward one on a Bavaria 41? Can't find switch!!
And is there an easy place to find an instruction manual if your charterer hasn't provided one?!
It is a simple 3 position valve, probably somewhere in the loo. You will find the pump and changeover valve in one place. It is clearly shown in the handbook.
Mm - problem, as I thought I'd said, is no handbook, hence trying to source one online. Have looked for something resembling a valve in both heads without luck but will keep searching.
If you have a B41 3 cabin, the 3 way valve is in the port-side toilet. when you enter it there is at the right a small hatch ( small seat at shower). Open the hatch. In the middle at the bottom under the holding tank there is a red handle. Turn it to the left : Aft tank. To the right : forward tank.
Don't know this model, but basically you can do it by ear - turn on the water, listen for the noise of the pressure pump, locate it and most likely the 3 way valve is close to it.
OK, we're a B34/2-cabin but our switch is under the sink. Worth looking there too.
p.s. and ours is not near the pump
If it's this Bavaria 41 (Cruiser 41) you're talking about: https://www.bavaria-yachtbau.com/sailing-yachts/cruiser-line/cruiser41.html#techdata
It appears to have only one (210 L) water tank. So it might be that you can't find the valve for the second tank because there isn't a second tank or valve. Otherwise, above hint to find the pump is good advice - the switch would be very near it (mine lives behind a little cabinet door in the aft cabin together with pump and pressure tank, but that's on a wholly different model).
Simple way of checking is to see if it has two fillers. One will be at the stern and the other at the bow.
