Title: Painting inside Lazarette.
Post by: AB1707 on September 22 2015, 13:28
Hi all,

The floors of my lazarette are stained from spare gas canisters and I want to repaint them light grey.

Which paint is best and any other tips?

Thanks

Adam

B and Q garage floor paint works well and is resistant to most horrors. Geoff

I'd consider cutting some treadmaster to size and gluing it in (or even the much cheaper but completely sufficient anti-slip mats you can find elsewhere). Keeps stuff from rattling and sliding as well as being easier to clean.

Try cleaning it with oxalic acid first. It's quite good at getting rust stains out.

I've used Interlux BilgeKote in the past for similar applications. It's great and very wear resistant. Highly recommend it.
