Title: Bavaria 33 Keel Bolt Torque
Post by: CRYSTAL on March 23 2012, 20:38
Just wondering if anyone knows what the Keel Bolt Torque settings are for the B33 - long keel.

It's 30mm by the way.

I emailed Bavaria but no reply.

thanks.

Got a reply frm Bavaria:

B33 (2006) Keel Bolts setting is 360Nm if anyone is interested.

Don't forget the Saildrive (S130) Oil is now 15W40 - Volvo Bulletin

Is this for dry thread or for lubricated one?

I assume this is for a refitted keel with new bolts and not just tightening.  See previous articles about tightening keel bolts.  It's not a good idea.

What is the boltsize M(etric) ???. I assume the mentioned 30 mm is the nut size. When a normal nut is used the thread is M20. Can you confirm?
Thanks.
