Title: Removal of Binnacle Instrument Panel Bavaria 32
Post by: stone687 on April 01 2016, 08:19
The grey instrument backing panel on the binnacle on my B32 seems to held in by 5 screws; however having removed them there is no movement on the panel.  I don't want to put a lot of force on the panel (since it seems to be brittle) until I'm convinced I'm not missing something.

Can anyone help with information?

Many thanks,

David

Think you will find it is stuck down with a foam rubber gasket that sticks quite well when it has been on for some time. Carefully lever it off.

Absolutely. Gave me the colley-wobbles first time but with a firm, gentle pressure, it'll slowly unstick itself.

Oh yes, the panel isn't brittle. I think it's GRP but it's pretty tough whatever it is.
