The plate on the gearbox is missing so no serial number or part number. Engine is TMD 22 75 hp, gearbox is type SM2 driving 35 mm shaft. I don't have prop size to hand. Anyone care to guess the likely ratio?
If it's a straight gearbox (ie no downward angle on the output shaft, it's probably 2.3 to 1. If it has a downward angle, it could be 2.4 or 3.0 to 1.
You should be able to identify the gearbox and look up the exact ratio on this sheet: http://www.volvopenta.com/SiteCollectionDocuments/Penta/Misc/drive_1_oil_rec_7745608.pdf
yes shaft is in line with gearbox on an incline, no drop.

Unless I'm missing something, that sheet doesn't mention MS2 gearboxes at all. ???
There's the shaft drive one: http://www.lepochervolvopenta.com/upload-img/POSTERREVERSEGEAR.pdf
Thanks for the chart - only just noticed. Still confused as VP agent tells me my engine has been mated with an angled drive 0nly mine is straight. Will send a photo for confirmation.
