Title: Techimpex XL2 Replacement?

I saw a thread on this topic from 2014 (http://www.bavariayacht.info/forum/index.php/topic,829.msg4166.html#msg4166) but the chandlers mentioned do not seem to carry the oven door latches anymore...

It seems that spares for the Techimpex XL2 are becoming scarce, or silly money. Are there any drop-in replacements?

I replaced my cooker with one made by Dometic earlier this year. Unfortunately the original cooker went for recycling in its entirety, so it cannot be cannibalised for spares, even assuming it was possible for parts to be removed. One of the hob burners had stopped working, and it could not be removed without parts of it breaking off.

Most other cookers are taller than the Techimpex. I replaced mine with a Plastimo neptune hob and oven, no grill which is a straight replacement. However, not sure that is still made

Last year I purchased and fitted an ENO - GASCOGNE.
https://www.svb24.com/en/eno-propane-cooker-gascogne.html
virtually a direct swap.
It is just a bit taller than the Impex but gimbals as much as we require.
We don't cook when sailing at extreem angles of heel.
The galley slaves like the electric start on the burners and oven.

I replaced mine with the new DOMETIC (Waeco) Moonlight TWO, from this vendor:

I got it at special sale for 420 ?uro, just had to buy it.

The cooker has a very nice glas top, easy to clean, oven is with integrated light, and has a good griller included. The oven has a thermostat for temperature control. Width and hight are pretty much the same and with the swing holder supplied one can fit it in place where the old cooker was.
Details in english here:

Does the top pan holder prevent the folding worktop from lying flat?

I also fitted the moonlight cooker - 3 burner. Its a tight fit on gimbals but effectively fixed as no swinging room as had to be fitted low down in  order to get the folding work top cover to fit flush with the worktop. Also had to cut and refix worktop fiddle to get it in. Oven handle has changed from my version - looks better. When installing cooker fell onto oven handle and broke outer oven glass (safety glass) so I replaced it with insulated aluminium sheet. Uneasy about amount of glass components on this cooker.

Seems you had bad luck with your installation. I removed the old swivels and put the ones that came with the Moonlight. Just screwed them left and right in the wood below the stainless steel strip. I propped the cooker from below to the right height so that the top could be closed with pot holders on it.
Swinging angle may not be the greatest, but I am honest to myself. When I am at a sea state where the oven is swinging like an Oktoberfest roller coaster, I don't need food, and definitely don't stay in the kitchen.  :sick

Did a little extra research. The Dometic MOONLIGHT THREE definitely does not fit well in the hole for the cooker. Here a dimension comparison I took from the Dometic web site:
Moonlight II:   500 x 390 x 395 mm
Moonlight III:  473 x 435 x 470 mm
(width x height x depth)
That`s why "blue-max" had problems to fit the three burner.
Here some pics of my Moonlight TWO installation.

I might add that the only thing I kept from the techimpex cooker was the oven handle which attaches to the door at the slot and not to the front and so is less obtrusive.
