The spring in one of our door handles broke - and I am unable to take the handle apart to see how it can be repaired.
Does anyone have he name of the manufacturer? The plate has "FR & C SOLI " embossed.
Here are some photos below. I removed all the fasteners - but I can not get the two handles apart.
Any asistance will be appreciated.
Thanks!
I replaced the spring in one of mine recently.
If I remember correctly, there is a pin in one of the handles that, when the pin is drifted out, allows the handle to be taken from the shaft. That part is easy. Take photos for reassembly!
Now the spring. It is a "torsion spring" made from 2 mm diameter spring steel. To make one copy the old broken one. I am in the Ionion Islands and spring steel is not available. I used the key ring type holder from a set of Allen Keys.
Have you seen this post?

The door handles (if same as attached photo) can be removed by releasing two grub screws in their underbody. Once they are removed, this releases one of the circular plates and exposes the fixing screws. The rest is straightforward ::)

Thank you - that is the exact model I have. Hope I can find a source for the springs in the US.
I have bought my spare parts here
