Title: forepeak mattress size
Post by: Odysseus on December 02 2016, 14:59
Some help please.
Anyone with a 2005 bav 38 single heads.

Need the size of the mattress, or even better the size of the bunk floor to bulkhead, as I am making a new mattress for the boat.
As its tapered need to know cross section from top to bottom.

Photo of my forepeak attached.

Thanks

Renewing the forepeak mattress is also one of my winter jobs.

I think that I have more or less decided to go for the more luxurious option of a proper sprung mattress as opposed to the covered foam as originally supplied.
This I hope with be cooler and more comfortable out in the Greek island where I keep Darley Mist.

This does mean though that I would like to recruit the help of one of you fellow Bav 38 (2004) (single heads) owners.
My chosen mattress supplier requires a full size template including the angles between the base and the hull sides.

Is the anyone on the West Sussex / Hampshire coast who has a B38 - who is prepared for myself or the mattress supplier to come and draw out a template.

Your help would be much appreciated.

Mike
