Title: Bavaria 31 Masthead light
Post by: Brian140 on May 08 2018, 12:42
I have a Bavaria 31 Cruiser 2008 model which doesn't have its masthead light. Having spoke to Clipper Marine there is uncertainty whether this should be an all around white or navigation light. Can anyone with the same model advise which it should be. Thanks Brian

I would normally be a combined  anchor light/tri colour. Geoff

It can be either. Nothing to do with the size/make of boat.

If you have deck level nav lights it can be an all around white which would be used as an anchor light. If you prefer you can have a mast head tricolour and use it as a Navigation light.

These days you can also get a combo light with all both all around white for anchoring and tricolour for nav but might need extra wiring and switching.

I have a 2009 Bavaria 31 Cruiser, and am fairly certain that the "stock" setup for 2008 would have been the same as what I have: an all round "anchor" light atop the mast, with the port/starboard lights on the bow.

Hope this information is helpful.

Hi my B42  2000 had mast head (anchor) only.  However you can fit a combined tri colour and mast head using the same 2 core cable see NASA SUPERNOVA
