Title: rudder bushings Bavaria 35 Exclusive
Post by: oscarBavaria35Ecxlusive on May 18 2018, 19:33
Hi guys!

First of all thank you very much for creating this forum and gather such a big community!

I would like to ask, do you know what kind of rudder bushings are mounted on a Bavaria 35 Exclusive 1998?

Thank you very much and keep up the good work!

Greetings from Italy!

Best,

Oscar

Welcome to the forums.

Jefa has an extensive archive of rudder and steering drawings for Bavarias. See here for your '98 Exclusive 35: https://jefa.dk/ftp/old_boat_spare_parts/Bavaria/Bavaria35Exclusive_A35_1996-1999/

However! The actual rudder that was built in 1998 may or may not match this drawing. In my case, the rudder stock was also supposed to be 64mm on the plans, but upon actually dropping the rudder and measuring, the diameter was 63mm instead. So while the drawings are very helpful, there is no way around dropping the rudder and measuring before ordering or making a new bearing.

Thanx yangmar
That's great info, I've been looking for that for ages.  Looks like another project when she next come out of the water.
I'll check my B37 rudder Stock OD to see if the info concurs.

Hi Oscar
Glad you have become a member to this forum.
I am also owner of a Bavaria 35 Exclusive (1997) based in Italy.
It would be nice to exchange opinions as there are very few B35 Exclusive around.
Cheers
