Title: Volvo MD22L Engine Mountings
Post by: marubio on October 23 2018, 09:44
Hi. I have the Bavaria Ocean 40. It has Volvo MD22L and Volvo 120S saildrive.
The engine Mountings are corroded because of sea water pump seal leak (previous owner).
I saw Engine Mountings "specifically for MD22L" at reasonable cost 35Euro app.. However when received they are not equivalent. They were supplied ""parts for engines""!!.
My mountings are "fine setscrews", received mountings have "long coarse bolts" threads. I refer to engine bolts as against Mountings bolts.
Some internet sites sell VOLVO Mountings for 180Euro each.
Has anybody advice on getting Mountings at reasonable costs.
I have no objections paying for unique, specifically manufactured parts but I dont like paying excess for parts available at reasonable cost on other sites
Thanks Marubio..

The original mounts are Trelleborg Cushifloat mounts.

17-1609 if I remember rightly with 45 hardness.  You can get them from a number of suppliers.
