Title: Arch on Bav40 2002 - pushpit measurement please Help
Post by: p_schurli on November 09 2018, 10:10
I want to build an arch for my solar panels, similar to that on the first photo.
But unfortunately my boat is far away in Greece and I cannot take measurements by myself.
Next spring I will go to Greece by car to mount the prebuilt arch.
Can anybody help with measurements shown on the second photo?

I'll visit my boat by (Bav40, vintage 2001) the end of this week and can get these measurements for you.

Just hold on...

Pushpit rear corners accross (vertical tube end to end) 291cm

Pushpit forward corner to corner 308.5cm

These measurements are tube centerline-to-centerline

Pushpit rear vertical tube to fwd corner 40cm (see attached photos on detail where on curved section this 40cm is to)

Pushpit fwd end level to cockpit sole 91.5cm.

Pushpit fwd leg to next stancion base 160cm, again cl-cl.

Hope these help,

Tommi

Hello Tommi,
this really helps a lot. Thanks. Now I am able to design and build the arch over winter at very low costs.

You are welcome.

May I suggest you to keep attachment adjustable to ±2cm or so. My quess is that not every individual pushpit has exactly the same dimensions down to last millimeters - and some (maybe even my) may have acquired additional bends / hits during their lifetime.
