Does anyone have any recommendations for LED cabin bulbs? I'm looking for the G4 type with warm white colour temperature to fit the usual Bav cabin downlights.
The 3W LED bulbs from Ebay I fitted have proved durable but are a little dim. The next size up at 5W is bright enough but slightly too long to fit the lamp housing and started flickering after only a few hours.
Are the disc arrays of LED's a better choice than the 360 degree bulbs?
Hi Baddox,
My '99 Bav 35E came with LED replacements. Both the corn cob type and discs. The G4 discs had 9 elements in the salon and were too bright! I found 6 element G4's at Light i the box at great prices. Nearly 2.5 years on and no problems. We left the 9 element ones above the settees for reading. Here's a link to their 15 element ones (that should be Beyond Bright!!): https://www.lightinthebox.com/en/p/10pcs-g4-15led-smd5730-600-700lm-warm-white-white-decorative-dc12v-led-bi-pin-lights_p5240993.html?prm=1.5.1.1
Don't forget to choose warm white or white light depending on your likes.
Cheers
Thanks Nightowle, I'll try some of the round arrays. The bulbsI have already are OK for general lighting but having a couple of brighter ones for reading as you do, would be useful.
