I recently has to replace my sump on my d2 55a.
The price for a genuine was more that $500 for the sum and $70 for the gasket.
I bought a new sump from the Perkins agent for $100 and the gasket for $20.
The volvo engine is a Perkins D4042.2 engine marinised by Volvo.
Sump lacks the suction port but I use the dip stick route anyway.

Thanks for the tip. What was the issue with the sump? Had the gasket gone? Or had it started to rust through?
