Title: Cockpit Locker Latches Ocean 40
Post by: markleuty on October 28 2020, 09:10
Has anyone found or come up with a solution for locking latches on the Bav Ocean series cockpit lockers?

Photo attached of non-locking version.

thanks

Mark

On my 40cc I have stainless tube bars running from under the stern cleats over the cockpit locker lids to the rear attachment for the jackstays it is discus padlocked over the jackstay point . The cockpit locker lid will only open about 2in. I have similar bars on all vulnerable hatches and all are keyed alike ,6 locks 1 key. The good folk of Gosport have a reputation for being a bit light fingered. Geoff

I ordered these as replacement, although they are not locking:

There seem to be similar ones with locks as well:

I've replaced the original ones with these a few years ago. Happy with them so far: https://www.yachtshop.eu/en/product/3815251/Cam%20Latch%20flush%20latch%20w/lock

When ordering, be careful to choose the locking version, there's both.
