Hello everyone,
I am not at my boat and am sourcing bits for fitting out my Bavaria 32 2002 J&J with Volvo MD2020 engine.
The saildrive anode needs urgent replacement on my newish to me boat.
I need to replace it and from the recent picture I have taken with my 'phone hope someone can give me an idea of the type and hopefully a supplier.
I have an order in my basket for Parts4Engines but they do not appear to list anodes at all.
Here are the images I took recently:-
It is the 120 one piece anode that is widely available, either the original Volvo or pattern parts from Keyparts, or indeed almost any chandler.

I found the cheapest at www.anodeoutlet.co.uk based near Chichester.
For our boat, a B32 with 120 saildrive, Part number 876286. £16. Techno seal
They also have a modified version for a rope cutter for £40.
I bought the unmodified one and cut out the notch for the rope cutter, saving £24. Very easy to modify.

Just a note on the antifouling applied to the sail drive leg. The antifouling should be copper free such as "International Trilux 33" to reduce the possibility of cathodic corrosion to the aluminium sail drive leg. Same treatment should be applied in the area of the rudder stock as the rudder stock is aluminium.
Many thanks to Symphony2, Yngmar, Fenders and AFRiCA for the helpful information.
This is a great forum!
Chris.
