Title: Leaking diesel pump on D2 55
Post by: elias on October 18 2021, 08:49
Hi to all ,
As you can see in the video , I think that something inside there is reached it's lifespan . Would you do 5 hours of motoring with that issue ? Or I am risking something great ?

Rather than a serious fault, it looks more like the gland/seal between the injector pipe end and the pump is giving up the unequal struggle against the extremely high pressure in the pipe and simple needs to be removed, resealed and bled.......I also agree with 'tckearney' and wouldn't run it like that, certainly not for 5 hours.

How tricky ...over 1000rpm not even a drop ... only in idle it sprays out ...

I still think it's only the gland/seal ....and fortunately nothing really expensive..

It ran 5hours 1800rpm , not a drop . Strange . Either way i ll have it taken out and replace all the seals .
