Hello All,
A first post for me so sorry if this has been covered before.
The furling line cam cleat on our Bav 30 failed in some brisk winds whilst sailing back from Belgium. Not too much of a drama but it is beyond repair so I need a replacement. The handle on the kicker clutch snapped the same day which I think is not unusual given the boat is 15 years old. Can anybody suggest a UK distributor for Rutgerson who they would recommend? We are based in the Solent. Thanks in advance.
Petersen are the main Rutgerson dealer in the UK. Very helpful and good customer service

There are other makes around that will do the job
i have been told from my Bavaria dealer and very good racing sailor to to a turn of the furlingline behind the rutgesron around the handle. no problems at all.
if you can not understand please write i will make a picture
Thank you for the replies. Very helpful. The boat is out of the water for the winter now but I plan to get the parts and do the job before it gets too cold. The cam cleat arrangement for the furling line does not seem the most robust system but in fairness I had no problems with it until it failed. Inevitably it failed when it was blowing a bit.
