I'm reading through my boat's manual and am looking at something called "exhaust water lock" (number 3 in attached schematic).
This thing sounds to me as if it could be prone to rust and I would like to check it.
But I don't know how - it seems to be located under the fuel tank.
Any ideas?
Most likely next to fuel tank close to boat centerline. This is the location at least on my 2001 model.
Follow the exhaust tube from engine -> you'll find it easily.

On the drawing it's in the gap between water and fuel tank, so should be accessible there. I wouldn't much trust the drawing though and do as Tommi says - follow the exhaust hose from the engine :)
it is under the Port berth close to the centerline of the boat about half way along the berth. The water separator started leaking about two years ago and I replaced it with a plastic one. Just need to fit an exhaust temperature alarm and then I will be a lot happier.
