Post by: Scallywag too on July 18 2013, 16:10
The the three lights in my front cabin have all stopped working at the same time on my bavaria 40 I've not had a chance to check anything yet I'm heading back to the boat at the weekendend is there something simple I could check after the bulbs

On my 2001 Bavaria 40 found one of the lights flickering even when switched off! Removed it and found fresh water ( no salty taste) had got behind it. Still mystified about source.
My advice to you would be to replace the incandescent bulbs with LED discs... much brighter and much lower power consumption.

I had water in my light in fore cabin found it to be "U" bolts not sealed good enough, but the u bolt in the centre had the wires for the lights go in between the 2 legs of that ubolt.

John

The cables on mine have spade connectors see if they have came loose or the feed to the first light has parted, if you don't get them to work I'll test it when I get back home in 4 weeks
