Title: How to refit veneer panels of interior Bav 36 Farr 2013
Post by: skelpie on December 21 2021, 17:42
Hi!
I've bought Bavaria 36 CR Farr. The problem is so many scratches inside. I'm looking for easy way to renew it. Did somebody know what kind of veneer was used or maybe some way to renew it? I think this isn't wood. Is too smooth. Maybe is something line modified veneer i don't. All help needed urrgently :)

Welcome to the forum.

I am afraid you will really struggle with doing anything with the damaged panels. You are right, it is not a conventional veneer but reconstituted wood rolled onto the ply and is very thin. I have the same on my 2015 33 and fortunately there is no damage to repair (I bought the boat new and I am the only person who uses it!) You might try wax repair sticks such as these toolstation.com/briwax-wax-repair-sticks/p26384 - no doubt you can find them or similar where you are. No personal experience, but what I would have tried if I had the need.
