I've been getting some oil seeping on the starboard side of the engine. The oil puddled around the injector looks completely clean, whereas my engine oil on the dipstick is a bit black. That seems strange. The pictures show that this clean oil is mostly from the middle injector and not necessarily the valve cover. You can see how the oil is misted around below that area. Does anyone have some suggestions before I start wrenching on this or that?
i would assume diesel leaking from injectors. Clean up that area with diligence, then wrap a kitchen paper towel around the injectors tightly and check the towels again after a few hours motoring.
Thanks, SYJetzt - However, in our part of the U.S. the diesel fuel is tinted red. This has a very light yellow look around that injector, almost like the saildrive oil. I can check it further your suggested way.
The oil looks clean. Could it be spillage from topping up the engine oil?

No. I used an engine cleaner just after the last time changing oil. So, this is oil appearing since any being added.
