Title: Internal plug sockets
Post by: robbadgie on June 24 2022, 14:50
Afternoon, I want to change our plug sockets from two pin European to 3 pin UK sockets. (It's a 37 Cruiser.) I have bought the new sockets (just the socket, no flap cover or cable) but I can't figure out how to remove the old ones. The only screws I can see are underneath and look like they hold the cables in place. Does the top pop off? Thanks.

I'm in the same situation on my B34.  I think I am going to leave the originals in place as they are (all 2 of them) in the wrong (and dangerous one under the sink) place for us. So when I'm next at the boat I'll be looking to tap into the the mains and running it to a possibly 3 sockets. On the bulkhead by the cooker in the galley, Port side back of the settee rearward, and similarly on the the starboard side but forward. I'll also have a least one that has USB sockets.

Galley for Kettle
Portside charging Laptops and phones
Starboard side for Tv and hair dryer

i own a 37cr out of 2006.
my sockets have hade a clip on cover. take a small flat scredriver and put it between wall and socket. turn it smooth and the cover will flip of. under it you find four bolts.
think cover will fit to new socket also if it is von berker
