Title: Fresh Water Pump & Spin On Strainer
Post by: Tethys on September 01 2013, 13:11
Now that Leisure Accessories seems to no longer exist, does anyone know a supplier of a like-for-like replacement for the original (2003) Shurflo fresh water pump & spin on strainer?  I know there are similar current Shurflo & Jabsco pumps and inline strainers available that would work with some modifications to the pipework, but given the limited space between the tank switch-over valve & the pump on a B36 it would be easier if a direct replacement could be fitted.

Regards,

Andy

I have just replaced my Shurflo with a Jabsco pump on my 44.   Jabsco supplies 2 different fittings to allow the strainer to screw onto the pump.  The only problem that I had was getting to the screws in a confined space.  The Jabsco does not require a accumulator tank so it is up to you if you keep it installed.  You can still get replacement pump units for the Shurflo but the difference in cost made a new pump a sensible choice.
