Title: Ray Marine RAYMARINE AUTOPILOT EV-2
Post by: Taz on May 11 2023, 01:53
Intending to install a RAYMARINE AUTOPILOT EV-2.

Has anyone got any pictures of the auto pilot installation for a Bavaria 2004 42 ft?

Had a look at under the arft stearing and was not what I expected. Twin wheels drive chains connect to a gear box and head off at right angles to the rudder stock.

There seems to be provision for a motor to go on back of the gear box and some strang cable and conectors... see pics

I at a lose to where to intall .... seem to hard for me... and thats not posible...

Yup, the motor goes on that splined shaft opposite the chain sprocket.

Thank you Yngmar for the information

It looks like I can get a drive unit in Australia.

My understaning I will need a sensor to interface with the RayMarine Autopilot Evolution with p70s control head & ACU-200, EV1 Sensor Core, EV1 Cabling kit and add on a Axiom plotter.

All up about $10,000 AUD.

Any more information accepted
