Hi , good friend of mine chartered a Bavaria 46 with sail drive . He had a failure , while engaging forward it was engaging powerless and after few seconds it might worked . Until it failed completely . Only in forward .
The company send technician and in 3 hours they said changed the discs .
My question , as far as I remember, there is a disc with some rubber pieces , not discs . Does anybody knows what could have happened and why ? How to prevent that?
they probably mean the rev clutch discs if it driving ok forward, you can find them on the workshop manual, its on here somewhere, page 14 shows exploded view, they are the discs on the 3rd line of gear drawings down, the ones with cross hatching.
