Valve clearances on Volvo Penta 2020D
My previous boat had a Volvo Penta 2002 Engine
The valve clearances were a user serviceable item
It made quite a difference to the starting and smooth running of the engine.
I find that the same operation is not now a user serviceable procedure.
The valve clearance must be left to engine expert mechanics apparently.
Is there some reason for this?
Have any readers attempted to do it themselves anyway?
No reason for this at all, they are a simple adjustment using a screwdriver and spanner, no buckets and shims....a very old fashioned and simple design.
