Title: Bavaria 36 Holiday 1998 - Shower in Head ?
Post by: Voilanges on November 28 2024, 13:53
Hello,

I'm about to buy a Bavaria 36 Holiday but it seems the is no shower in the head ?
There's a tap without a showerhead above the sink.
Is it possible to add a showerhead ?

Is there a pump at the bottom of the wet room to empty the water from the shower?

Is it possible to adapt it?

Thank you for your help

You should find the tap head is on a hose and you pull it out  - a button on the head selects spray or stream  - there may be a wall bracket to fit it to, or otherwise they are simple to install. You should also find there is a pump-out button, usually by the sink (with power isolator on the control panel).

I have a 1999 B36 Holiday.

My heads sink tap is as described by Keewetoo and like this example:   https://www.jacksonsleisure.com/caravan/motorhome/reich/trend-e/julia/shower/mixer/tap/571-500000661/   I replaced mine a few years ago and there are numerous options at cheaper prices on the web.

If you have a pumped drain there will be a waste outlet in the floor of the heads and the pump will be mounted in the cupboard under the sink.

If your tap has no pull out shower I would think either it was originally and option or the original tap has been replaced by a previous owner. If there is no waste outlet that would suggest either it was not available at the time or was an option.

I would think it is possible to fit both a drain outlet and pump  -mine tee's in to the basin waster pipe that has its own thru hull discharging out the side of the hull.

Thank you for your answers.

The tap is not a real issue, but the drain might be a greater one.

I'd look at the boat in a few days.
On the pictures, I can see a drain on the floor, so I asked myself how difficult is to create one if necessary

Just to confirm,

our B34 from 2000 doesn't have a shower and a pump either. Although I do see a spot where maybe a pump could be fitted, it doesn't look that easy.
