Title: Fresh water pressure problem
Post by: nlawley on July 12 2014, 11:32
I have a Bavaria 38, with a new Jabsco Par 2.9 fitted in 2011. The water flows good with one water tank but slow from a second water tank. I have a Comet pressure equalizer installed which is almost totally full of water (just a couple of centimeter from the top). There doesn't appear to be any blockage on the route from the poor flow tank. Can you help me find the cause?

How do you go about finding an air leak?

In fact I backflushed water from the pump to the poor tank and appeared to introduce a lot of air into the system which doesn't reduce with 10 mins running.

Problem solved the air was getting in at the joint I split to backflush. Both tanks are running beautifully now thanks for the help!!!

Glad you fixed it, even more pleased I was right :)

Reference the Comet device, I was never sure how this was meant to be used: full or empty. In the end I ran it about quarter-full, which seemed to work best.
