Title: Bavaria 39 portlights
Post by: Ziffius on September 01 2014, 08:08
In Greece at the moment so can't afford to ring lewmar.
My large opening port lights are in between elliptical and rectangular in shape with for push catches. The coding on the acrylic is
LEWMAR
PORTLIGHT
1242  P  23C5

Acrylic size is about 635x190mm and the interior trim size overall is about 700x260mm

Anyone know the exact model I should be looking at for spares, especially fly screens ? Pics attached.

Suddenly thought, Internet/email so I emailed lewmar and got thus response:

Here is the part number for the portlight 30154200. Hope this helps.

So went to lewmar website and searched for part number but it just comes up with New Standard PORTLIGHT directory, not the specific part but trawling through the likely portlights led to bavaria barrel - can't see why it's that name but it has the corresponding part number. Pic of page attached

I got a replacement hatch from a company called  Nautilus who are agents for Lewmar.  They did not have one in stock at the shop in Levkas, but one was shipped in from Athens by 12:00 next day, excellent service.  They have several shops around Greece including Gouvia on Corfu.

Their are 2 chandleries in Gouvia with similar names, the one you want is outside the marina to the left.
