My new Cruiser 33 did not come with any method of hoisting courtesy flags . I wondered if anyone knows of a system that would push up a shroud and stay there to allow a pulley or loop to be attached so a rope could be fitted.
I placed a stainless saddle on each spreader by riveting to holes provided in the spreader and attached two nice pulley blocks. The flag halyards where then made fast to a cleat clamped onto each shroud at shoulder height. This way you have them for pennants as well as coutesy flags etc.
Is this what Bavaria's cost-cutting has come to - not bothering with signal halyards? I can't believe it. Fastest way to lose your customer base.
MarkTheBike you would find it difficult to name any production yacht that provides a penant halyard as standard equipment.

Don't let the facts get in the way of his rant!

OK guys, fair game! Before the Bav, it's a LONG time since I had a boat. Things have moved on. I stand corrected.
