Title: Which "POD" for Bavaria 36 pedestal?
Post by: fyndi on April 21 2015, 18:45
Hi everybody. I'm new member in this forum and I would like to ask your help. I recently bought Bavaria 36 ym. 2003 and now I will renew plotter and replace Raymarine log, rudder data and tridata in pedestal. But what kind of "POD" I should buy to attach into Bavaria's pedestal? All the models which I have found, don't fit to mine boat. Typically those pods are designed to fix to two vertical tubes, but in my boat there is horisontal tube. Please see pictures.
Can you help me and advise where i could find pod which will fit into my boat?

This is the way I solved the problem, The marine pod has adjustable mountings, not cheap but no more than Scanstrut mounts also very well constructed. Go for the stainless steel mounts they look great

I recently had a new fascia made at a local plastics shop. (TAP Plastics)  Removed the old one and had them use that as a template.  Won't look exactly like the original - but close enough.

Thanks for pictures Moodymike. If you don't mind, I will copy that installation and buy also marine pod. Now when I know the model, I even found local dealer for it.
