Imray electronic charts

Has anybody bought the Imray electronic charts, looking at them for my laptop and wondering what GPS pick up has been used, how easy it is to install and update.

Yes, had them for 3 years now together with the tides. Basic laptop with a USB GPS dongle from Maplin and AIS from a NASA engine. Very straightforward but AIS is limited to just showing stations.
