Can't get rear bumper clean

Our rear transom bumper is covered in black spots and dirt. We've tried dozens of different cleaning products and nothing will get it white. Has anyone else experienced this? Did you find a product that works?

Have you tried CIF cream cleaner ( was called Jif before i think) and a green pad!!

Had the same on my 2004 B32.
I used a variety of cleaning agents. Eventually tried T-cut. Did the job. Needed quite a bit of elbow grease though.

Acetone liberally applied to a rag will wipe off easily.

Agree with Artemis, ours was black last year from two seasons of little use. We actually paid the yard to polish the hull as it was so dull and the guy said he thought we'd fitted new rubber

Rub on, wait 10-20 seconds (depending on temperature), rub off. It will remove a layer of the actual PVC, and the dirt along with it, that's how it works. Replace rag when it starts looking dirty.

When done, apply a polish&wax one-step product to protect the bumper from new dirt.

This is a very frequent asked question on the Dutch Bavaria Forum. Besides the already mentioned Aceton, the "wonder" sponge according the picture attached does the job easy. The price for 5 sponges is less than 1 Euro. I don't know if you can get it in the US or Mexico.

The Wonder Sponge is available in the US under the Mr Clean brand.

I think it's called "Magic Eraser" 

I buy them by the dozen and take them to my boat each season. Works great on many surfaces especially GRP gel coat and interior kitchen surfaces.

Cleaned my bumper yesterday with the Sponge and it worked like a charm. I used the sponge to clean a couple of dirty fenders and got those whiter too.

Any mild solvent will do it.  Don't use Acetone, it's too aggresive.

Cellulose solvent, pvc solvent, yacht enamel solvent/brush cleaner, etc.

I used a few magic erasers on mine and it came up pretty good considering the dirt that was on it ( and rest of the boat ) after the winter, I have tried several different things but nothing seemed to do the trick. Bought a box of 100 for £7 off of eBay so plenty of happy days  of scrubbing to come.
