Teak deck removal

It's a slow process, but the sun and weather are doing the job of glue removal just fine. Here's two shots of the foredeck to compare. I would estimate in another two years it will be gone, with no extra work other than the regular washing/scrubbing.

I've meanwhile taken the teak off the lazarette doors on the stern as well, which came off easy, but was a big faff because the hinges needed lowering and I had to make a backing pad to refit the latch, as it relied on the teak thickness to fit! Also the screws Bavaria had installed for the bungee cord that holds the door open were through the gelcoat into the teak, so had to fill those holes as well. 

Almost done! 

Meanwhile we can report the boat was about 5°C cooler this last season without the teak deck. And I don't know how many kg lighter! Although you do see dirt more than with the teak, which was hiding it pretty well
