Good morning, as my Raymarine p70 / Autohelm type 1 autopilot gave me problems when disassembling it I verified that what is damaged is the electric motor (Fracmo brand).
I am looking for spare parts for it but I can't find anything, does anyone have experience in this or know where I could find spare parts or a solution?

Thank you very much

Yngmar

Would be helpful if you told us what autopilot drive you have (manufacturer and model). The p70 is the head unit and Autohelm type 1 the course computer - they support many different drives though.

Thank you very much for the answer, I can only find this reference, I don't know if it will help: FRACMO 361-55-0018

This type of motor seems to be an earlier type of motor.
Bavaria mainly fitted AP drives supplied by lewmar (usually in their Whitlock steering components). Examples of this AP motors you can see here https://www.sailtec.de/products-shop/categories/bavaria-spare-parts/ship-steering-propulsion-control-systems.html?isorc=56319
Check your system, if  it is possible to use such a motor/gear combination
I would expect, you dismantled the motor from a gearbox/clutch assembly, which is left in the boat?
Are there any drive sprockets / steering cables or chains, in which this gear assembly is integrated? Photos?

I would see 3 possible solutions to go:
1) Replacement of the whole motor/gearbox/clutch assembly with a newer one, see link above.
2) Replacement with a linear drive , for example raymarine or similar makes
3) Take the existing motor to a repair shop for electric motors and ask if it can be repaired. Maybe there are only the brushes and/or the collector worn.

Good luck

Nautec is an earlier trading name of Raymarine. I think what you have is a Type 1 rotary drive. The Framco motor is just an industrial motor, but pretty sure you will be able to order a spare motor through a Raymarine dealer. Alternatively just google Framco motors and you will get industrial sippliers - I did it for the UK and got 3 or 4 potential suppliers - no doubt you will get local suppliers in Spain.

Fracmo is still in business, in Wales.  Why not get in touch with them direct?  Their contact details are here - https://bangor.cylex-uk.co.uk/company/fracmo-19332559.html

Thanks, here is the rest of the autopilot. Please ignore the audio since it is the video that I sent to my friend who knows electronics in case he could advise me

So it's a Raymarine type 1 linear drive, why not just say so  ;D

Spare motors are available, for example here: https://hudsonmarine.co.uk/products/raymarine-type-1-linear-drive-motor-n001

The motor may also be repairable, usually it's either brushes (replacable, and you can find Fracmo brushes for a few quid online), windings or sometimes bearings.
