The pump does not turn off.
I have a Shurflo pump and a small pressure reservoir connected to it.

In the last two days, the pump does not want to turn off when it reaches pressure. So it has to be switched off with a switch. It sounds like it's not getting any water at all. This can happen when one tank is empty and then I switch to another tank, and until the air is expelled, the pump sounds like that. But now that is not the reason, both tanks are full and water. In fact, while the pump is running, I can use water.

Has anyone had a similar case?

What could be the reason?

The reason could be a faulty pressure switch, or faulty valves in the pump.

the square bit at the bottom of the pump has a microswitch in it, could be corroded or the spring could be corroded/stuck, take the pump off, turn it over and take the screws out of the corners,(not the middle one, that sets the pressure) inside is a diaphragm and a micro switch, the diaphragm moves to open/close the switch contact against the spring pressure.

Mine did this if you remove the square cover there was scan adjuster switch I moved the by a small increment and it now works fine I put t down to being corroded/ warn from sitting in exactly the same place for years. Not noticed any negative change

Thank you for your advice, I bought a new Shurflo pump and replaced it.  I decided to replace it because I noticed that it was getting a bit corroded and leaking, and it's not such a big price.  Everything works now.
