instrment panel glass - imprint burnt into glass

My depth log panel meter glass has the text "burnt" into the glass show up when not power. Any advice appreciated

I'm guessing you have the Raymarine ST60 TriData unit? Pop a photo over, but replacing that control unit with a second hand unit is probably the most cost effective solution. There are some companies that repair these if you have a hunt - I don't think it is a DIY sort of option I'm afraid.
