Bavaria 42 - 2000. Corrosion on aluminum rudder lower bearing housing

Hi all,

I found some corrosion / pitting on the aluminium of the lower bearing house of the rudder. See pictures.

Can I fill these with epoxy before new anti foul or is this something that needs more investigation?

I'd strip away all the old antifouling and crud and then you can assess the damage. If not too much, you can just patch it and then coat it with a barrier. I used International Watertite and Interprotect. Keep copper antifouling well away from the area in the future and the barrier coat intact.
