water ingress

I have a problem with my 2005 B39 Cruiser. I have a water ingress that occurs around the metallic plate in the low part of the stern. No damage is visible. Salty water enters in the boat when sailing and fresh water when it rains or when the boat is washed. I solved the problem by sealing the sides around the plate and the channel between the hull and the stern ribbon. But when the sealant wears out the water enters again in the boat. Someone have had the same problem? Was it solved? How?

I would remove said plate and rebed on sealant such as ct 1

Bavaria use crappy silicone sealant which breaks-down after a while. I've had to remove and re-bed pretty-much all the through-deck fittings on mine.

I think the plate is just to strengthen the drain hole in the sugar scoop. Mine was completely blocked with small strips of failed sealant (although no water inside, fortunately) but it appeared to be solidly fixed and no obvious means of how it was secured that I remember. Perhaps it's springy and can be levered off gently...

I have heard same kind problems.

Typical fix has been to laminate extra GF matt or two inside the after box. (pic below)
My understanding is. Main problem is laminating work between bottom and stern.
It has been done originally little bit defective way. Maybe on Monday morning...

I think other fix would be unfasten that white rubber list.
And try to seal whole stern joint one more time.
By using GF or some sealant like SIKA..

Many Thanks for the info. This is the current state from the inside. I am going to do that: seal everything outside and re-laminate the inside with GF mat. But I do not know too much about this. Which is the more appropriate, polyester resine or epoxy resine?
