Having newly found this forum, and trying to become a DIY guy, I will post a few questions

Do you know what is used as sealant between wood panels of cabinets and the white walls. The original one used is a very elastic one, easily coming out. However, in the 4 years, they have separated from wood and are not doing the isolation anymore.

Should I use a white marine silicon sealant or an adhesive/sealant mastic like Sikaflex 291i etc? Would the mastic be an overkill and a pain to remove if needed?

I need to replace similar on my Bavaria 42. To me it looks like a basic white acrylic filler. Easy to use and water soluble. Very durable even outdoors eg sealing windows on a house, where it is used by the building industry. Though would not recommend it on the outside of a yacht.

That is what is available in Australia.
