Testing an st60 speedometer and windmeterhi

Hi !
My speed shows 000 even turned by hand rapidly and wind - - - and no direction. Raymarine suggests to run a test with a electronic tester turned to 20v DC .  But mentions a "shield" connection that behind the screen is not present ! Any clues

Shield is the foil in the transmitter cable. Unplug  the connections and give them a clean (spray with WD 40 or similar). Do this with all connections in the back of the instruments including the seatalk plugs. Salt air is not good for electrical connections.
